Description

● Apple trees are beneficial to Preppers because they allow for the grower to be confident in the materials used to grow the product, and they ensure that their family is producing organic, high quality apple fruit to enjoy now and in the future. Apples grown in your Prepper Garden can be consumed fresh, or can be frozen unpeeled, lasting up to eight months. Drying or dehydrating the fruit will increase the shelf life: if you cut in pieces and properly dry the apples, storing at room temperate in a food vac bag, they will last up to a year; but if you pack the apple chips in a Mylar pouch with an oxygen absorbent, then the shelf life boosts to almost eight years. The combination of apple trees purchased will produce high yields of apples, and some of the extra fruit could be used to make apple sauce (one year shelf life), apple jam or jelly (up to 18 months shelf life) or apple juice (a couple of months shelf life).

● All of our apple trees are grafted on semi-dwarf root stock that allows the trees to get to an average mature height and width of 12 to 15 feet. They should be planted in area where they will receive full sun and have good drainage. Apple trees do need pollination to set fruit but you will not have to worry about that as we have chosen the two best varieties for northern Preppers and southern Preppers alike. Preppers should plant apple trees now in order to have a wide variety of fruit-producing plants that offer high vitamins and nutrients which other stored foods lack.

● Apples are a great fruit that can be grown throughout the United States; and they can be used in a variety of ways to benefit all Preppers. We offer different apple tree varieties, depending on your planting location: the northern apple trees are for USDA zones 5 through 7, and the southern apple trees are for USDA zones 8 through 9.
