● The Sawtooth oak tree, Quercus acutissima, is a great wildlife oak tree that sheds its acorns early in life–as early as five to six years old.
The acorns shed earlier in the year than other oak trees, feeding wildlife September through October. You can grow this food plot plant in USDA zones 5 through 9 and it prefers to be planted in full sun with a well-drained soil. It will grow and thrive in shade, although as a result it will produce acorns a little later in life. At maturity it will grow to be a height of 80 feet with a width of about 50 feet, and it will have very nice showy yellow fall color. The trees we sell are six to seven feet tall and of acorn-producing size, saving you money and time.

November 10, 2014
Reviewer: KC from Winchester, VA United States
My trees came very well packaged and in good order. I can't wait to see them start to grow in the spring.
