Alternative Views:
● Weeping willow bark contains salicylic acid which is the simplest form of aspirin. A tea derived from the bark of the weeping willow tree is used to treat pain, inflammation, fever, and headaches.
If you have a contusion, peeling some of the bark and wrapping it around the wound will help clean it, protect it from infection, and manage pain. If you are exposed to urushiol (poison ivy) a natural treatment would be to wash with a tea produced from the weeping willow.

Description
● The weeping willow tree is widely adaptable to any growing conditions and has a beautiful, graceful canopy that will extend 30 to 40 feet at maturity. Selecting a location with full sun and an abundance of water, like the edge of a river or stream, will provide rapid growth of up to six feet a year. If you do not have these conditions, that is fine; the weeping willow will grow in partial shade to full shade and is drought tolerant as well as capable of growing in any soil composition in USDA zones 6 through 8. Be careful to plant weeping willow trees away from water lines, irrigation lines, or sewer lines, as the roots travel a long way and can find these water sources, causing pipe failures.
